Dear Members, April 2010
Welcome back to another season at the Chappaqua Swim & Tennis Club. After all that snow, followed by all that rain, I’m sure that everyone is looking forward to “all that sun” as we head quickly toward the summer. As many of you are aware, the swim and dive team has enjoyed great success in recent years. Much of that success can be attributed to an approach that has the coaches getting into the water or on the board with our youngest swimmers and divers on a daily basis to help improve their technique, build their stamina, and increase their confidence. However, we never lose sight of the fact that summer swimming is all about having fun. To that end, we always include a variety of events during the short season that enable ALL of the swimmers and divers to hang out together and have a good time both in and out of the pool!
2009 was a fantastic year for CST. In addition to finishing with a winning record in Division 1 of the Northern Westchester Swimming Conference for the 6th consecutive year, we reached a new milestone by finishing as the runner-up team for the first time in the conference championships. We also captured first-place trophies in the 10 and Under Girls Freestyle and Medley Relays at the county swim championships.
The number of participants in our excellent swim and dive lessons programs continues to grow each and every year. Please consider the benefits of having your child gain strength, confidence, stamina, and proper technique by signing up for swim and/or dive lessons this summer. Lessons serve all ability levels and are a great bridge or complement to swim and dive team practice.

There is a place on the team for swimmers and divers at all levels of experience. Be a part of the tradition of excellence that is the Chappaqua Swimming & Diving Team.
All best,
